Wow, Pete is putting together a full bar.

CALL IT SNEAKY'S.

Needs some smokey piano-y sad bar music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n08b1ptdnYM
Somehow I knew as soon as I read this post that was gonna be the link, heheh :3

And that's actually a really good idea. "Sneaky's" is like the perfect bar name. I'll charge ridiculously high prices for all my drinks, of course
Well per the rules, you'll have to give out free drinks and pickpocket your guests for payment, since you're not allowed to sell stuff.

Pete doesn't seem to have a grasp on the best things to steal, though, so you'll probably end up stealing their shirts or their arms or something.
Now that would be a sight: "Hmm, I'm sure I had more limbs when I came in..."

There is actually a bar down the road from me call Sneaky Pete's - I don't know for sure how it got its name but naturally I'm assuming it was this. exact. way.

Also Staplers, shame on you for judging their romance! Age is just a number as long as you have love... and health insurance (those old hips you know :P).

THE GREAT AND POWERFUL
Day nine starts extremely early for Pete, since he doesn't get back home from his late-night escapades until about 5:30 in the morning. I send him to bed for a quick nap, have him (grudgingly) pay the bills, and we head out for another day of adventure!

After spending a lovely night out on the town with our beautiful new love interest, I can't think of anywhere more appropriate to visit than the local cemetery. I mean, she'll probably be coming here for good soon enough and--oh god that was horrible. I immediately regret writing that.

Regardless, upon arriving at the graveyard, Pete decides to walk over and introduce himself to a young lady with a very familiar surname.

Apparently, this is Fiona McIrish's daughter, River, who has just recently become a young adult. She and Pete chat for a bit, and she generously gives us a piece of birthday cake as a snack. Nice of her to give us the time of day, unlike her mother... Pete's still a little bitter.

While he snacks, I notice an interesting individual gesticulating wildly at the decor.

This dude's name is Jamin Marrero. Apparently he's a tourist, and for the life of me, I can't find any information about him online. I think he might be randomly generated by the game, as opposed to a pre-created Sim.

Jamin takes it upon himself to walk up to me and start hurling insults for no apparent reason.

...Jamin, you have made a powerful enemy this day.

Admittedly, I do like to think of Sneaky Pete as a gentleman thief--a lover, not a fighter, if you will. But, in this case, I'm willing to make an exception. To war!

I'm very pleased to see that after the dust settles, Jamin is left licking his wounds and Pete stands triumphant. I would expect nothing less!

Pete decides to celebrate his victory by curling up on a bench and taking a snooze. Jamin skulks around the graveyard for a while before he decides to leave (presumably with his metaphorical tail between his legs).

Once Pete wakes up, I send him over to get to know River a little better--and to mooch some cash, because why not?

After River excuses herself, my curiosity gets the better of me. Notice those big ol' catacombs in the back of the cemetery there? I certainly did. I wonder what's in there?

C'mon, Pete. To adventure!

After he's been in there for a few minutes, the game gives me a choice.

Pshhh. Come on, game, do you take me for a fool? I click continue and Pete goes on his way.

Uhhh. The idea of giving a hostile spirit a piece of Pete's hair is a bit disturbing, but I'd much rather do that than provoke it. I cautiously click "Give it Hair" and wait to see a prompt pop up on screen about Pete's horrifying demonic possession and subsequent violent death. Luckily, no such prompt appears.

A few minutes later, Pete emerges alive and well from the catacombs, with an old Genie's Lamp in tow!

I'll be honest, I'm not proficient enough in The Sims to have any idea what this thing does. I'm worried about it possibly violating the rules of the Klepto King challenge, so for now, it'll stay in my inventory. It would make a very impressive centerpiece in my trophy room, though...

I'm kind of curious to see if Pete can steal anything from the cemetery, so I decide to make him hang out for a little while longer. All the people here earlier today have left for the evening, but we're not alone...

Spoiler: click to toggle

Ooooooooooh, spooky! Luckily Pete isn't so easily rattled. Amusingly, the ghosts seem to be more creeped out by each other than Pete is by them.

At the very least, Pete has the guts to bum a bowl of soup off of one of the ghosts.

Spoiler: click to toggle

It's incredible what kinds of preservatives they put in our food these days. I wonder how old that soup is?

Unfortunately, with all of these ghosts wandering around, Pete can't take the opportunity to swipe anything. Thus (but perhaps fortunately), there will be no defiling the cemetery today.

Spoiler: click to toggle

But don't worry! Earlier in the day, I made sure to leave my dirty dishes on the ground. Hee hee.

Stay tuned for day ten!

Jamin, man. What a dick.

Lol this update was great. That single plate on the ground is such a perfect image. It could be the Special Edition cover.

Wait, if Pete walked into a mausoleum and plucked a genie's lamp from its very heart, why would he have qualms about stealing from ghosts?
